The uncompromising pursuit of CAPCELL PAK alkali resistance
Columns that can be used under alkaline conditions for long periods.

One of the features of CAPCELL PAK series is even greater alkali resistance.
In response to the request for greater possibilities for analysis in the alkaline mobile phase, we present the 'CAPCELL PAK C18 BB'.

For Basic compounds in the alkaline mobile phase.

Have you ever experienced issues with the analysis of basic compounds?

Basic compounds are susceptible to the effects of silanol and metal impurities, and there are also cases in which retention in the column is difficult. You may have thought that the analysis of basic compounds in HPLC sometimes needs a bit of tweaking.

At Osaka Soda, we have a number of products that were developed with basic compounds in mind. For example, the MGII Type, which focuses on the peak shape of basic compounds and comprehensively seals silanol under neutral condition, or the MGIII Type, which has enabled reliable LC-MS analysis by removing the causes for retention time and reproducibility with basic compounds under acidic condition, or the CR Type with a focus on mobile phase formation at the retention time, with attention given to high sensitivity in basic compound LC-MS. Furthermore, we are also actively developing systems, in particular an auto-sampler for carry-over target substances.

These columns and systems are used around the world by HPLC users and LC-MS users.

The 'CAPCELL PAK C18 BB' is the column with outstanding alkali resistance borne from Osaka Soda development focus on basic compounds. For those who want to use CAPCELL PAK series to analyze basic compounds in the alkaline mobile phase.

Features

Excellent alkali resistance

With our polymer coating technology we have achieved superior alkali resistance exceeding that of the organic silica hybrid.

This column is suitable for the three purposes:

  • Improving the durability of current analysis
  • Analysis at PH levels not attempted before
  • Increasing the load volume

An expanded analytical window

With ionic compounds, the retention time changes significantly depending on the set pH in the mobile phase.

with this column, since an alkaline mobile phase can be used, greater retention of basic compounds can be achieved, and in the analysis of mixed substances that are acidic, neutral and basic, the retention time of basic compounds can be significantly increased.

Experience the greater retention of basic compounds and the separation from other components.

Efficient collection of high load volume samples with sharp peaks

With efficient preparative purification, important factors are the large test load per sample as well as the peak shape and retention time. We have focused on creating a column that will enable collection of your important sample 'with as sharp a peak as possible', 'with as short an elution time as possible' and 'with the greatest purity as possible'.

This is a column that will place importance on your sample, and on your time.

Also available: High pressure resistant column (50MPa) BB-H

The features of the BB column are just that - a column that has improved resistance to pressures of up to 50MPa.
It is a column that is perfect for high throughput analysis.
