【Ceramospher】とは・・・「ceramic」「sphere」との造語。本充填剤は、多孔質の球状セラミックスに光学活性な金属錯体Δ-Ru(phen)32+ (phen=1,10-phenanthroline)をカチオン交換によって吸着させた従来に無い全く新しいタイプの光学異性体分離用カラム
セラモスフェア キラル RU-1及びRU-2の分離において最も重要なポイントは、この充填剤が層状構造を有する粘土鉱物(ケイ酸マグネシウム・ナトリウム)を担体としている点です。
試料はとても狭い限られた層間に制限された姿勢で入り込むため、メタノールのような溶出力の強い溶媒で保持され、更に試料の運動の自由度も制限されます。従って、試料と固定相が効率的に相互作用し、高い確率で分割できます。
RU-2は、RU-1を基本に更に特殊な疎水化処理を施した充填剤です。従って、セラモスフェア(キラル)RU-2は、水(逆相)系移動相の使用が可能な充填剤です。
