Pulseless flow [3201]
Reciprocating noise is minimized by employing the pumping method consisting of dual plungers connected in series and specially designed internal pressure damper and check valve, the ones also used in Model 3101 (discharge volume: 18.84 µL/rev). A flat flow profile is achieved by the high-density-pulse step motor (flow rate range: 1-3000 µL/min). Precise gradient curves can be drawn even at a low flow rate. A single piece of model 3201 runs two-solvent gradient runs, to save bench space. The model is designed for experiments with all type of LC detectors.
Designed for high-speed gradient runs [3301]
Using a mixing system for rapid flow ratio response enables high-speed gradient runs, minimizing a time required to re-equilibrate the flow ratio from one run to another, which is an additional advantage of the model. The model shares the same outer structure as that of the model 3201.
*Since it is designed for LC-MS, the model may not be suitable to high-sensitivity applications with less selective universal detectors (e.g. UV detector).
Metal-free pump head
The pump heads are made of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) resin. The use of PEEK avoids contamination of metal impurities, which may influence some physiologically active samples.
Software
The pump can be fully controlled by several different types of PC-based software (S-MC, OpenLAB EZChrom, Xcalibur, and Analyst®).
Automatic purge
Solvent replacement has been greatly improved by employing an automatic purge function, which was not included in the previous model (3001).
