C18

C18 (ODS, or octadecyl silane) is the most widely used reversed-phase chemistry and is highly effective for peptide purification

We offer a wide variety of ODS phases, differentiated by bonding density (primary ligand density) and endcapping methods.

The example below illustrates the impact of different bonding densities:

SP-120-10-ODS-BP

(Low bonding density. Short retention time, low hydrophobicity and 100 % water based buffer compatibility (aqueous phase) with 15 % carbon content).

Often used for:

  • Omega 3 fatty acid purification
  • CBD purification
  • Imipenem purification

SP-120-10-ODS-RPS

(Medium bonding density. Universal phase, works for a wide range of separations. Moderate retention time and medium hydrophobicity with 17 % carbon content).

Often used for:

  • All sorts of synthetic peptide purification

SP-120-10-ODS-BIO

(High ligand bonding density combined with high-tech end capping provide very wide pH range, strong retention, high loadability and extreme durability with 22% carbon content).

Often used for:

  • Peptide purification where unusually high or low pH is needed to keep the peptide in solution

SP-100-10-ODS-PK

Special phase based on a high mechanical strength and high pH resistant bare silica type. A very likely candidate for GLP-1 purification where cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures are often employed.

Often used for:

  • GLP-1 purification

SP-100-10-ODS-P

This featured product is built on a super high surface area silica (450 m2/g). By pairing this with moderate bonding density and our proprietary endcapping technology, we’ve created an ideal solution for general synthetic peptide purification. It consistently delivers very high loadability, sharp separation and reliable performance across a wide pH range.

Often used for:

  • GLP-1 purification

With a wide range of silica backbones, bonding densities and endcapping options, our ODS portfolio offers unparalleled versatility. Not sure which phase is right for you? Our team is ready to help you find the perfect match.

C8

The shorter chain length of C8(Octyl silane bonded silica), compared to C18, brings target molecules closer to the silica surface. This proximity promotes unique secondary interactions, making C8 the primary choice for insulin manufacturers tackling highly challenging separations.

SP-200-10-C8-BIO

The premier choice for insulin manufacturers. Built on a wide-pore silica backbone, this product features a very high C8 ligand density and proprietary endcapping, resulting in exceptional pH stability and durability under high-pH conditions.

Often used for:

  • insulin and insulin analog purification

SP-100-10-C8-HP

Features a unique combination of a super high surface area silica and a very high C8 ligand density.

Often used for:

  • Orlistat purificatio

SP-100-10-C8-PK

Our bestselling combination: a high pH resistant silica backbone paired with high ligand density and proprietary endcapping.

Often used for:

  • insulin, insulin analogs, GLP-1 analogs purification

C4

C4 (Butyl silane bonded silica) is gaining popularity due to its reduced hydrophobicity compared to longer chains. Our butyl* bonded variety—long-standing DAISOGEL standards like the SP-120-10-C4-BIO and SP-100-10-C4-PK—offers a remarkable pH range, particularly in the acidic region.

C1

If C4 provides too much retention for your compound, experimenting with a shorter alkyl chain is a logical next step. C1 phase relies almost entirely on their endcapping for retention, offering a unique selectivity that can solve persistent separation challenges.

Phenyl

Phenyl-bonded silica leverages π-π interactions to provide a unique selectivity, making it an exceptionally effective solution for challenging peptide purifications.

C4Ph

A DAISOGEL original featuring a phenyl ring attached to the silica surface via a C4 (butyl) spacer.

C6Ph

Our high-performance alternative to traditional Phenyl-Hexyl silica.

BiPh

By maximizing the phenyl character of the stationary phase, this biphenyl chemistry provides a powerful tool for alternative separation mechanisms.

ADM

Unique adamantyl-bonded silica, now available for preparative chromatography applications.

SP-120-10-ADM-HP

Most fascinating product in our Chromatography Compass concept.

APS

Aminopropyl bonded silica for stable and predictable normal phase chromatography

DIOL

Highly versatile specialty stationary phase featuring neutral, hydrophilic dihydroxypropyl ligands covalently bound to a silica matrix
