Q1	Can the column be connected to a system made by Waters, Shimadzu, Hitachi, or Jasco?

CAPCELL PAK can be connected to a system made by Waters because it has an end fitting (1/16-inch, push-screw type) made by Waters. It can also be connected to recent models of systems made by Shimadzu and Hitachi but not to old models (Shimadzu: Not connectable to the bag ED type until LC5A, but can be connected to LC6A and later).

Q2	What is the meaning of "W2" marked at a end fitting?

A2	"W" represents the Waters type and "2" means that the filter mesh size is 2 µm.

Q3	How can a column be connected to an HPLC system of different connection?

A3	Cut the tubing from the pump with a cutter. After forming the end of the tubing with a file or other means, attach a new push screw and ferrule and press the tubing into the end fitting of the column and fasten it with a wrench without leaving a dead volume.
